Testing and Inspection Capabilities
Plasan North America is able to leverage the experience and facilities of our parent company, located in Israel. Their facilities are equipped with a state-of-the-art ballistic lab where engineers conduct in-depth testing on all of our products using a wide range of munitions and high velocity scenarios. The collected data of more than 20,000 ballistic tests are invaluable to our research, development and overall traceability.
To optimize our survivability solutions, we combine computer-generated analyses and simulations to explore blast effects on the products we design. The results are then compared with industry-defined threshold standards. Real-time calibration data is fed to the simulations to increase their accuracy and overall validity.

Measurement and Analysis.
The testing lab in Israel is equipped with the most advanced ballistic equipment and measurement testing tools.
Speed Measurement Infrared Equipment.
Velocities are determined using an Oehler 35P Chronograph Model 57.
Prototype LS04 Ballistic Measurement System.
Laser-based measurement including wifi wireless data transmission.
High Speed Video Analysis.
High-speed images can be obtained for analysis. Images are captured at high rates to be used for accurate velocity measurement of parameters, such as yaw angles.
Our dual axis x-ray camera obtains images that neutralize the flash of impact, which allows for accurate measurements of yaw angle parameters.
