Our high performance autoclaves are equally advantageous to those we serve. Plasan North America’s Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing facility is equipped with two autoclaves, each of different size. This allows us to conduct high volume production runs for highly contoured parts, as well as short-run prototyping and early design testing.
Specific sizes of our two ASC Autoclaves are:
10′ diameter x 30′ deep
10′ diameter x 20′ deep
The autoclaves can run 24 beds of flat composite panels per cycle, with each bed at 72″ x 94″ in size. Performance extremes of our autoclaves are approximately 450°F and 300 PSI
High pressure press
PNA possesses the equipment and experience to manufacture 3-d composite parts as well. Using either our high pressure press paired with heated and cooled mold tools or one of our 2 state of the art autoclaves, PNA is able to produce high quality 3-D composite parts such as EOD bomb suit insets and contoured spall liners all built to our exacting standards.
